Websites and web content

Your capability is real. Your website should say so.

Most organizations lose the reader before the first conversation. The page is slow, the content does not say plainly what the company does, and there is no obvious way to raise a hand. I build sites that answer the question the visitor actually arrived with, and capture the ones who are ready to talk.

Why a power systems company builds websites

Because the website is where capture starts.

Blue Functionality began in marine and land power systems, advising operators, integrators, and program teams. The same problem kept turning up on the client side. The engineering was sound and the capability was real, and the website did not say so. A program office could not tell what the company actually did. A buyer could not find a person to contact. Good technical teams were losing work to competitors who were simply easier to understand.

So it became part of the consulting. Positioning, content, and a page that works are not separate from capture. They are the earliest version of it. The discipline is the same one that goes into a proposal volume: know your reader, answer what they are actually evaluating, and make the next step obvious.

Blue Functionality builds and hosts those sites now. For consulting clients who need their public face to match their capability, and for small businesses that need the same thing at a smaller scale.

A website is not decoration. It is the first thing a buyer evaluates, and usually the only thing they evaluate before deciding whether to call.

What you get

A site built to be read, and to bring you the reply.

01

Positioning first

We start with who the reader is and what they need to believe. The design follows the message rather than the other way around.

02

Content that says the thing

Plain, specific copy about what you do and who you do it for. Written for a buyer, an evaluator, or a partner, not for a search engine.

03

Lead capture that lands

Every form writes to a database you own and emails you the moment it comes in. Nothing depends on someone checking a portal.

04

Fast, mobile, findable

Built to load quickly, read well on a phone, and be indexed properly. Accessibility and page speed are part of the build, not a later pass.

05

Hosted and maintained

Hosting, updates, and security handled. Changes get made when you need them rather than when a ticket clears.

06

You own it

Your domain, your content, your lead data. No vendor lock-in and no platform holding your list.

Who this is for

Three situations where this pays for itself quickly.

Tell me who has to read it, and what they need to do next.

Send a link to what you have now, or a description of what you need. I will tell you honestly whether it needs a rebuild or a rewrite.

  • A new site, from positioning through launch and hosting.
  • A rewrite of a site that works but does not say the right thing.
  • Content and positioning support alongside a capture or GTM engagement.
